Carol Butler Obituary Carol Ann (Angle) Butler, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday, July
11, 2025, at the age of 83.
Carol is now finally reunited with the love of her life, her husband Charley, whom she married on
September 25, 1964. They spent 59 wonderful years together until his passing in September 2023.
Born on September 25, 1941, in
Chester, West Virginia, Carol was the daughter of the late Mary Pearl
Mumaw Angle Dudgeon and Harold L. Angle. She graduated from Chester High School in 1959 and
began working at National Church Supply Company, where she was employed until 1970. Afterward, she
chose to dedicate her life fully to her familya role she embraced wholeheartedly.
Carol was a dedicated PTA member for her children and later her grandchildren. She served as a troop
leader for both the Campfire Girls and Cub Scouts and as team mother for many years for her sons
baseball teams. Her leadership and care made a lasting impact on the young lives she touched. She was
also a proud, long-time member of the C C Card Club, where she enjoyed playing cards and building
lifelong friendships for over 50 years. Bingo nights were another favorite pastime that brought her great
joy.
Carol was a fierce and loving matriarch whose strength carried her through lifes many challenges,
including a victorious battle against breast cancer. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, whom
she loved more than life itself. She was present at every school event, recital, and milestone she could
attend, always cheering the loudest and beaming with pride.
Her home was a place of warmth, tradition, and joy, especially during the holidays. Halloween was one of
her favorite times of year; she delighted in dressing up in costume to greet neighborhood children with
treats and laughter, creating memories that will be cherished by generations.
In addition to her parents, and her loving husband Charles A. Butler, Carol was preceded in death by her
infant daughter, Chrissaundra Ann Butler; her brothers, Clarence and Charles Angle; and her half-sister,
Sandy Caughey.
Left to cherish her memories are her children Christine Wynn (Francis) and Charlie Butler Jr. (Karen) of
Chester. Grandchildren: Ashley Vojtas (Ronnie), Casey Jo Wynn, Charlie Butler III (Sydney), Morgan
Butler, Adam Butler (Ammy), Jonathan Wynn (Brittany), Allison Wynn and Michael Wynn, Great-
grandchildren, Callie and Eloise Wynn, Lorelai and Gabriella Vojtas, and Kelcy Butler.
She is also survived by her brother, Derrell Angle; half-sisters Suzanne (Del) Wright, Sherry Michael,
Sharron Kidder, and Shirley Angle; and her sisters-in-law: Joyce Angle, Diana Glover, and Charlotte
Butler, and many nieces and nephews.

immeasurable love she gave to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and
