Carol Calandra, a beacon of light to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on February 5, 1941, Carol's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and devotion. She was a woman of faith who lived her life with a generous heart and a warm smile, touching the lives of many.
Carol's journey began as the beloved daughter of her late parents, Ralph and Ann Coleman, whose values and love shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Her life was further enriched by her loving husband, Frank, who predeceased her. Together, they built a family bounded by love, and the joy of shared experiences.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her four children: Frank and his wife Lori, Theresa and her husband Erik, Patricia, and Robert. Each of them carries a piece of Carol's spirit, her strength, and her unwavering support. Carol's life as a sister to Betty and Michael, sister-in-law, and an aunt to many, was filled with cherished moments. She had a lifelong bond with Aggie (Ida) that stood the test of time.
Carol's grandchildren, Brittany and her husband Dan, Alex, Austin and his wife Megan, Frankie, Mark, and Max, will forever hold onto the memories they created with their grandmother. Her stories, her laughter, and her wisdom will be their guiding light. The joy of Carol's life continued to multiply with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Caden, Jett, and Ronan, who brought her immeasurable happiness and pride.
An avid reader, Carol found solace and adventure within the pages of her books. However, her greatest joy in life was watching her children and grandchildren grow. Carol's life was a testament to her spirit, generosity, and strength. She approached every challenge with grace and every triumph with humility. Her ability to listen, to empathize, and to offer sage advice made her a confidant and friend to many.
As we bid farewell to Carol Calandra, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, a journey marked by the love she gave and the love she received. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were privileged to know her. Carol's story does not end here; it is carried forward in the lives of her family and the countless memories that will be cherished forever.
We take comfort in knowing that Carol's legacy will endure through the generations, a reminder of the remarkable woman who graced our lives with her presence.
