Carol Casey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home - Salem on Feb. 20, 2026.
Carol Casey, 88, of Salem, NH passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, exactly three years to the day after the passing of her cherished husband, Richard Casey.

She was raised in Somerville, MA and graduated from Somerville High School. She had a career as a dedicated bank teller, serving with warmth and reliability at various banks throughout her working years.

After moving to Salem, NH, Carol became an active participant at the Ingram Senior Center. She looked forward to her weekly bingo games, group trips to the casino and outings to shows and dinners with her fellow seniors, where her lively spirit made her a favorite among friends.

Carol's greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren. She never hesitated to get down on the floor to play with them, creating precious memories filled with love, giggles and unconditional affection. Carol will be remembered for her kindness and the deep love she shared with those around her. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved husband.

Carol will be deeply missed by her 2 devoted sons, Richard Casey and his wife Rita of Derry, NH and Paul Casey and his wife Molly of Atkinson, NH; her brother, Clifford James Smith of Woburn, MA; her 6 grandchildren Nicole and husband Mark, Michael and wife Jenny, Caroline and her fiancé Carmy, Patrick and wife Shayla, Sarah and Joseph; her 3 great grandchildren, Damian, Valerie and Brody; her nephew, Steven Smith and his wife Diane; her great niece and nephew, Ashley and her husband, Tyler and Ryan and his fiancé, Megan and her great great nephew, Logan.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Casey and her brothers, John, Hugh and Robert.

Visitation will be Friday, February 27th from 2:30 – 4:30 pm followed by a funeral service at 4:30 pm at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH.

Memorial contributions in Carol's memory may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, 320 Nevada St, Suite 201, Newton MA 02460, in honor of her husband who courageously battled the disease.
