Carol DeLucia

Carol A. DeLucia Rotterdam - Carol A. DeLucia, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Schenectady, after graduating from Schalmont High School, Carol began working for NY State, before taking time to raise her three children. She then went to cosmetology school and was a stylist for a few years before returning to the state. Carol retired in 2008 as an admin for the NYS Dept of Agriculture and Markets. She was an active member of Bethel Full Gospel Church. Carol loved cooking and would often host dinner parties for her family and friends, bake cookies and cakes for different occasions, and was always sharing her passion for cooking. She absolutely loved being a Grammie to all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed decorating for the holidays, constantly rearranging her furniture and cabinets, watching QVC, and going on many shopping trips.
She was a faithful wife to the late Arthur DeLucia for 50 years. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Denny; her brother, Lloyd Denny Sr.
Carol is survived by her children, Maria Relyea (Christopher), Vincent DeLucia (Kimberly), and A.J. DeLucia; her grandchildren, Vincent, Victoria, Nicholas, Noelle, Gabriella and Joseph; her siblings, Diana Lombardi (Steve) and John Denny III; her sister-in-law Dorothy Denny, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday May 8th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Bethel Full Gospel, 3625 Guilderland Ave, Rotterdam, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. She will then be interred with Arthur at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethel Full Gospel Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
