Carol Alice DuValle, age 79, of Crandon, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family while under the compassionate care of Compassus Hospice.
Carol was born on May 29, 1946, in Laona, Wisconsin, to Arthur and Irene (Benzinger) Brooks. A lifelong and devout member of St. Leonard Catholic Church in Laona, Carol's faith and family were always at the center of her life.
She was a talented quilter and embroiderer who lovingly crafted countless handmade blankets and seasonal decorations that will be cherished for generations. Carol enjoyed occasional trips to the casino with her good friend Gillie prior to his passing, as well as traveling to places like Arizona and Laughlin, Nevada. A proud and passionate Green Bay Packers fan, she could always be found wearing her team's colors on game days. Carol also loved taking part in the Quilting Poker Run, visiting nearly every quilting shop across the state of Wisconsin.
Carol is survived by her children, Elizabeth Schreiter, Anthony (Jennifer) DuValle, and Paul DuValle; daughter-in-law, Michelle DuValle; grandchildren, Katie Schreiter, Brianna Schreiter, Stephen Schreiter, Austin Sites-DuValle, Ethan Sites-Parker, Christopher DuValle, and Amanda (Roscoe) DuValle-Rice; and great-grandchild, Draven. She is further survived by her sister, Susan (David) Pratt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Brooks; and sisters, Dorothy Smith and Ann Brooks.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Leonard Catholic Church in Laona from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Anil Polumari will preside with Father John Cerkas Concelebrating. Carol will be laid to rest at Cavour Cemetery.
