Tim Mc Laughlin Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weber-Hill & Packard Funeral Home - Crandon on Oct. 28, 2025.
With a heavy heart, we share the passing of our beloved Tim Allan McLaughlin, aged 58, on Sunday, October 26th, 2025, after a brave battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born July 12th, 1967, in Cudahy, WI, to Wallace and Darlene (Terry) McLaughlin, Tim moved to Laona with his family at the age of three. He was a 1986 graduate of Laona High School. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years with the Blackwell Job Corps Center and for over two decades with Nicolet Hardwoods. On October 17th, 2014, Tim married his best friend, Kathy (Schulz). The two shared an amazing life full of love and mutual adoration for one another.
Tim was a sweet man with a huge heart. He lit up a room with his smile, laughter, stories, and songs. His favorite times in life were spent sitting with family and friends around a campfire, having a cold beverage, and listening to his favorite classic country songs. There are no words to describe the void he leaves in our lives, however, knowing he is finally at rest will help the healing begin.
Tim is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy; loving daughter Breanna (Nick Marshall) McLaughlin of Lakewood; son Bradley (Kasey Webb) McLaughlin of Wabeno; stepsons Shawn and Noah Wetenkamp of Green Bay, whom he loved as his very own; grandchildren Dekker and Elsie Marshall; and Brantley McLaughlin, who always had Papa Tim bursting with unending pride. Tim is further survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Lorrie (Don) Quinn of Redwood Falls, MN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Todd (Julie) McLaughlin and Tom (Melissa) McLaughlin of Laona; father-in-law, Alan Schulz of Laona, all of whom meant the world to him; many nieces, nephews, and close cousins he adored; and his favorite aunt, Ilene Terry of Spooner, WI.
Preceding Tim in death were his parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Alicia's Place Adult Day and Respite Care of Crandon, owner Kayla VanCleve, her family, volunteers, and clients that filled Tim's last year with joy and the best care anyone could ever ask for. Also, a huge thank you to the excellent medical team in the med/surg unit of Antigo Hospital, where Tim spent his final days.
In Tim's memory, please consider donating your time and/or support to Alicia's Place LLC, the Lewy Body Dementia Association for research into this terrible disease or by simply performing small acts of random kindness to others.
Visitation will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Laona on Saturday, November 1st, from 10 am to 12 pm, with a church service and interment at the Laona Cemetery to follow. Pastor Jamie Bauknecht will preside. Weber-Hill & Packard Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
