David Hartenbach Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weber-Hill & Packard Funeral Home - Crandon on Jan. 26, 2026.
It is with deep sorrow in our hearts that we announce David Lawrence Hartenbach, 69, passed away peacefully on 1/21/26 in his home with his family at his side.
A brother, father, and friend, he leaves behind a legacy of laughter and downright good times. Son of Henry Charles III and Susan (Walker) Hartenbach, Dave cherished his life, his friends, and his family. Dave graduated from Winneconne High School in 1974, and Marion College in 2008 with a degree in Business. He enjoyed both a long career in the roofing industry, and his retirement at his dream getaway on a lake in the Wisconsin Northwoods.
Dave was a very funny, charismatic storyteller who loved animals and spending time with his three sons. He was an amateur juggler, water-skier, pilot, and a skilled ace on the skeet field; a love he shared with his father, brother, sons, and many friends. He will be forever missed by many.
Dave is survived by his children Matthew, Andrew (Jennifer), and Michael Hartenbach, his sisters Anne Hartenbach, Lucy Hartenbach, Susan (Patrick) Dowling, Elizabeth Williams, Amy (Herman-deceased) Penterman, and Margaret (Richard-deceased) Malott.
Dave is preceded in death by Henry Hartenbach IV (brother).
