Cynthia "Cindy" Lea Miller (Jacobson) – Shi sha wen
September 14, 1956 – November 8, 2025
Cynthia "Cindy" Lea Miller of Carter, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on November
8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Laona, Wisconsin, on September 14,
1956, Cindy lived a life defined by kindness, strength, and deep cultural commitment.
Cindy was a gentle soul whose love radiated to everyone she met. Her laugh was
contagious, and her heart was always open. She found joy in helping others and was
especially devoted to attending ceremony and supporting her community in any way
she could. Her home was a welcoming space for all, often opening her home to
traditional seasonal camps that brought family together in celebration and learning.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and friend, Cindy's greatest joy was
spending time with her family. She was a hard worker and a strong woman, deeply
loved and profoundly missed.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Greg Miller; children, Tiffany Miller and Jessica
Jacobson (Lawrence Mann Sr.); grandchildren, Sarah Jane Gouge, Brock Gouge, Amira
Tuckwab, Emma Gouge, Jake Tuckwab, Lawrence Mann Jr. and Myah Mann; and
siblings, Gerald Jacobson, Brenda (Phil) Shopodock, Lori (Jerry) Jacobson, Benji
Jacobson, Jesse Jacobson, and Joe "Sweed" Wakua.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Jacobson Sr. and Emily Jacobson;
and sisters, Pamela Jacobson and Brenda Lea Jacobson.
Cindy's spirit will continue to guide those she loved, and her memory will be cherished
always
