Carol Eustis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Aria Cremation Service and Funeral Home - Irving on Nov. 8, 2023.
Carol Marie Brown Eustis, age 84, died at Medical Center Arlington on Friday, November 3, 2023.
Carol was born on September 2, 1939, in Mancelona, MI to Donald and Melvina Brown. She and her husband, Carroll Eustis, married on October 10, 1992, and lived in Irving TX for many years before moving to Grand Prairie, TX. They were often referred to as 'Lady Carol' or 'Mr. Carroll' when being addressed so as not to confuse the two of them with the same name!
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Donald Gye Brown and Melvina May Straight of MI and her brother, Roger Brown, also of MI.
Survivors include her husband, Carroll Eustis, of Grand Prairie TX; her sister, Susan Early of Topinabee MI; brother Jerry Brown and wife Mary of Gaylord MI; daughters Donna Bosher of Grand Prairie TX; Julie Bonner and husband Kirk of Whitney TX; her son, Jerry Gurney of Taylor MI, and stepdaughter, Christine Lott of Dallas TX. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who she enjoyed spending time with whenever she could.
Carol worked for many years at the L.D. Brinkman Company in Irving as an accounts receivables clerk. After she retired from L. D. Brinkman, she became a school bus monitor within the Irving School District for several years. She enjoyed being able to spend time helping children in need during the school year.
Carol and Carroll enjoyed approximately 20 years of camping together with many of their friends in the Pina Colada Camping Club. They were also active members of the Irving Elks Lodge for over 30+ years and enjoyed spending time there with many of their lodge friends.
Carol enjoyed doing her arts and crafts projects, watching Cowboy movies, especially 'Gunsmoke', traveling to Branson MO, and going on cruises. She and Carroll were able to enjoy several cruises together and she would always document the places they cruised and traveled to by using her 'crafty skills' of putting their travel books together. She was so good at this; it was almost like you were on vacation with them.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts. May you rest in peace.
Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
