Carol Finn Obituary
Carol Finn, age 79, died on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC.
She was born in Union, SC on April 18, 1942, to the late William and Lillie Messer. She graduated from Chicora High School in Charleston Heights, SC. Carol retired from the Oswego City School District in Oswego, NY, after 15 years of service. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her sister Ellen Redfern; and brothers, Larry Messer and Bobbie Gene Sparks.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Patrick Finn, of Myrtle Beach; a son, Michael D. Finn and wife Deborah of Savannah, GA; a daughter, Robin D. Burke of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Finn, Brianna Dumas, Connor and Dylan Burke, and; sister, Kate McGuire and husband Wally of Goose Creek, SC; and many nieces and nephews. Carol was a caring, loving mother, wife and Grandmother. She was very protective of her family. She loved to go out to eat with her family, read romance novels and play word games
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75231; or St Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Ave, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday November 6, 2021 at St. Michaels Catholic Church with inurnment to follow at the Church Columbarium.
Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
