In Loving memory of Arlin Jarrel Jividen

December 1, 1939 - March 15, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Arlin Jividen, who left this world after a courageous one year battle with cancer.

Arlin lived a life defined by love, dedication, and service. He was a devoted husband of 64 years to his beloved wife Phyllis Jividen, proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His family was truly his greatest treasure, and he cherished each moment spent with them.

A man of honor and commitment, Arlin served as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He later devoted his life to education as a math teacher and made a lasting impact as an educator, and a coach of basketball, track, and cross country. Through these roles, he touched countless lives, always encouraging others to be their best in both the classroom and on the field.

Arlin found joy in life's simple pleasures- gardening, sports, lending a helping hand to those in need, and in his daily walks around Heritage. Setting a personal goal to walk enough miles to circle the earth's circumference. Arlin proudly reached his goal, one step at a time. His kindness, strength, determination, and steady presence will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis; his children, Debra Ann Rogers (James), William Arlin Jividen (Melanie), Carrie Dale Mohl (Chris), and Kristin Barbara Jividen (Mischa). He also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren; Tyler Rogers (Chelsea), Madison Rogers (Reece), Sara Plum (Spencer), and Seth Mohl (Elizabeth). Arlin was blessed with two great grandchildren; Avery Rogers, and Silas Mohl, who brought him great joy.

Born in Nitro, West Virginia, Arlin carried his roots and values with him throughout his life, leaving behind a legacy of love, integrity, and service.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Waccamaw High School Athletic Booster Club for the Cross Country and Track Teams, 2412 Kings River Road, Pawleys Island, SC 29585.
