Carol J. Gramling, of Waukesha, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born in Milwaukee, on May 29, 1942, the daughter of Herman and Marie (nee: Miller) Jandt. On September 17, 1966, she married Joseph Jarvis at St. Mary’s in Elm Grove. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2007. On, November 5, 2010, she married David Gramling at St. Mary’s in Waukesha. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2016. Carol was a faithful member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she volunteered and participated in many activities .
She will be missed by her loving daughters Catherine (Al) Solowicz of Neenah, and Elizabeth Bergman (Michael Runge) of Hartland, grandchildren Jennifer (Andy) Pulda, Alyssa Solowicz, Samuel Solowicz, Katelyn Solowicz, Abby Bergman, Emma Bergman, Gracie Runge, and great-grandson Henry Pulda. She is further survived by her sisters Lynne Hutchison of Brookfield, Kathy (Mike) George of New Berlin, and Mary Kunstek of Okauchee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. We are particularly grateful to Charlie Wieber of Waukesha for taking her to church and breakfast every morning.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 225 S. Hartwell Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186 on Thursday August 1, 2024, from 9:30 AM until the funeral Mass begins at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will follow the Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery.
