She was born on June 1, 1937, in Akron, Ohio, to a family that instilled in her the values of care and compassion—qualities that would guide her throughout her life and career. Carol dedicated many years of her professional life to AdventHealth Waterman (Florida Hospital/Waterman), and Lake Community Hospital where she served as a nursing supervisor.
