Carol L. Hawk, a devoted registered nurse and respected nursing educator, passed away on April 12, 2025, at her residence in Eustis, Florida. She was born on June 1, 1937, in Akron, Ohio, to a family that instilled in her the values of care and compassion—qualities that would guide her throughout her life and career. Carol dedicated many years of her professional life to AdventHealth Waterman (Florida Hospital/Waterman), and Lake Community Hospital where she served as a nursing supervisor. Her commitment to healthcare extended beyond her direct patient care; she also shared her extensive knowledge and experience by teaching nursing at Lake Tech during her retirement. A proud member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Carol was revered not only for her professionalism but also for her passion for nurturing the next generation of nurses. Carol's contributions to the nursing profession were further supported through her membership in the Florida Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association, where she worked alongside her peers to advance nursing standards and education. She is survived by her step-daughter, Cindy Harper of Menominee, MI; her brother, Daniel L. Livingston of Dublin, OH; her nephew, Matthew D. Livingston, also of Dublin, OH; her niece, Tammy Harden, residing in Florida, and nephew Trevor Hawk also in in Florida and nephew Tracey Hawk residing in Arizona, and her two grandchildren, Jim and Laine. Carol L. Hawk will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to nursing, her impact on many lives through education, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her, reflecting her lifelong commitment to service and compassion. A memorial service will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Tuesday, April 22 at 5.30 PM.
