Carol Lynn (Brown) Hazekamp, 70, of Sparta, NJ passed away on September 4th, 2025. Born to Madeline (Monson) and Donald M. Brown Jr., she grew up in Bloomingdale, NJ and graduated from Butler High School in 1973.
She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life in 1979. She worked at TRW for 10 years, was a member of Good News Singers, raised two daughters, was a literacy volunteer, volunteered many hours at Jacksonville Chapel (The Chapel), and was an avid artist. She enjoyed playing field hockey in her high school years, watching football, and spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gary Hazekamp; sister Linda Kraft (Ed), daughters Lisa Gardner (Keith) and Janet Mourhess (Bruce), and seven grandchildren: Levi, Charis, Gwen, Raelyn, Ezra, Tori, and Zachary. She was a beloved wife, mom, and “G’ma" who loved Jesus.
Viewing is Thursday, September 11th, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on September 12th at 2:30 pm at The Chapel 264 Jacksonville Rd., Lincoln Park, NJ with a Repast immediately following. The final disposition will be private.
In lieu of flowers Carol’s wishes were that “they buy themselves something nice that they’ve wanted and it can be from me to them with love”.
