They began their married life in St. Cloud, MN. From there they moved to Blooming Prairie, MN and eventually settled in Owatonna, MN. While living in Owatonna she enjoyed the time she spent and the friendships she made working at Jostens, Inc., Wenger, Inc. and Owatonna Graphics. She enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises with Al. She loved going to dances and playing cards with family and friends and was a huge fan of the Minnesota Twins. Her favorite color was purple. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren; they brought her immense joy. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her three sons, Roger of Fosston; Neil (Val) of Lengby, MN; Steve (Esther) of Savage, MN; ten grandchildren, Jennifer (Brady) Burnside, Jamie (Dave) Swenson, Josh (Heather) Skala, Chris Mowers, Chelsie Johnson, Ethan, Tyson, Jude, Ibukunmi and Cora Heide; thirteen great grandchildren, sister-in-law Deloris Heide and son-in-law Larry Skala.
