Carol S. Ingram

Carol S. Ingram, 85, of Enfield, beloved wife of Arthur H. Ingram, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Chicopee, MA on July 12, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Carol Stephanie (Chicorka) Miles and grew up in Chicopee. Carol graduated from the Springfield Hospital School of Nursing and dedicated her life to caring for others as a registered nurse. Throughout her long and compassionate career, she worked at several area hospitals and nursing homes, touching countless lives with her kindness and professionalism.

When her sons were young, Carol was deeply involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Explorer Scouts, generously giving her time and energy to support their activities and the community. She was also an active member of the Enfield Congregational Church where she served on multiple committees. In later years, Carol and Arthur shared a love of travel, especially enjoying time together exploring new places after retirement.

Besides her beloved husband Arthur, Carol is survived by her four sons, Jeffrey Russ of Rockville, Brett Ingram and his wife Jenny of Fairfield, Scott Ingram and his wife Mirian of Florida, and Eric Ingram of Rhode Island; her eight grandchildren, Brett, Jr., Rhys, Lexus, Ariel, Bianca, Camilla, Danielle, and Joshua; 6 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Laurel Stankiewicz. She was predeceased by her brother, Chester Miles.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A funeral home service will take place on Saturday, January 3, at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow in Enfield Street Cemetery.
