Carol Ann Jansen, age 67, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, after a long illness, with her loving family by her side.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 7th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to service time. Pallbearers will be Michael, Rebecca and Brian Rehor, Ryan and Andrew Quigley and Tyler Duttlinger.

Carol was born November 16, 1956 in Ottawa, a daughter of Albert and Shirley (Thacker) Jansen. Surviving are her sister, Pamela Rehor; and a brother, William Jansen. She also leaves nieces and nephews, Nancy Rehor, Barb Rehor-Quigley, Jeff Jansen and Kimberly Jansen-Long; as well as multiple great-nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lawrence Jansen.

Carol was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She taught physical education at St. Patrick and St. Columba Schools for fourteen years. Her lifelong dream was to live in Las Vegas which was fulfilled by working as a floor supervisor at New York New York Casino in Las Vegas several years. Carol enjoyed any competitive sport. She participated in and coached softball and basketball.
