Carol Ann (Hancharik ) Jones, age 73, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on August 27, 2025. She was born on June 9, 1952, in Ithaca, New York, and was the cherished daughter of Martin and Mary Hancharik. Carol lived a life marked by strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. On November 21, 1995, she married Roger E. Jones, with whom she shared nearly 30 years of life's simple moments. A proud mother, Carol found great joy in raising her daughter, Kristen Borgeson. She not only taught Kristen how to play softball but also coached her with heart and cheered her on every step of the way. Her pride in Kristen was immeasurable, and their bond was one of her life's greatest joys. Carol's love extended deeply to her beloved sister, Linda. The two shared a lifelong connection built on unconditional love, shared memories, and unbreakable support. Carol had a soft spot for her fur babies, Coco and Bandit, who brought her endless comfort and happiness. Carol loved to cook, one of her favorite activities was spending all day making her delicious spaghetti sauce and meatballs. Those who knew her will remember her warmth, loyalty, deep love for her family, and the quiet strength she carried through life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and countless cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Carol is survived by her husband, Roger Jones; sister, Linda Muskelley; daughter, Kristen (Angela Evans) Borgeson; stepson, Adam Jones; niece, Rachel Muskelly; and nephew, Brad Muskelley.
