Carol Ann Jones August 2, 1939 – October 12, 2025
Carol Ann Jones, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born on August 2, 1939, in South Jordan, Utah, to John and Gladys Klotovitch, and spent her life surrounded by love and family in Sandy.
Carol shared 70 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Ronald Wallace Jones. Together they built a life filled with laughter and cherished memories.
She is survived by her children Denise (David) Mellor, Lori (Mike) Shutt, Ronald Jones, and Cindy (Steve) Garner; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless joy and pride.
Carol loved spending time with her family, especially on camping trips where stories, laughter, and love were shared around the campfire. She enjoyed doing puzzles, happy when she found just the right piece. In her younger years she loved shooting clay pigeons with her close-knit group, the "Dainty Dusters," and treasured the friendships she made there.
For many years, Carol worked at Becton Dickinson, where she drove a forklift with confidence and skill-a fact that always amused her family, since she famously refused to drive a car.
Carol's warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her strength, kindness, and the love she poured into her family.
A viewing will be held on October 20, 2025, at 10:00 -12:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home in Murray, Utah. Graveside services will start at 12:30 pm at Sandy City Cemetery 700 East 9000 South Sandy, Utah.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Josh, her home health nurse, for his compassion, assistance, and exceptional care of Carol. They would also like to thank Lynda for the many years of loving friendship, dedication, and care she showed to Carol and her husband Ron-her kindness and devotion will always be remembered with gratitude.
In Carol's own words, and just as she would want us all to remember-"I'm OK."
