Carol Elaine (Haverich) Keller, age 88, of Farber, MO passed away at 7:49 pm Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Tri-County Baptist Home in Vandalia, MO

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Farber Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dr. Robert H. Balwanz and Rev. Dr. Raymond I. Massey II, will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vandalia. 

Visitation celebrating Carol's life will be held 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday June 19, 2024, at the Waters Funeral Home. 

Carol was born on November 4, 1935, in Higginsville, MO the daughter of Ted and Alma (Witt) Haverich.

She was united in marriage to Bobby "Dale" Keller on September 17, 1955, in Vandalia, MO. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2017.

Survivors include her two sons, Martin Keller (Dana) of Mexico, MO and Todd Keller (Dana) of Farber, MO; brother, Ted Haverich (Fran) of Columbia, MO; sister, Anita Meinert of Germantown Hills, IL; grandchildren, Lauren Oliver (Blake), Gabrielle Buenger (Nicholas), Devyn Keller, Mylee Keller and Slade Keller; great grandsons, Keller Oliver and Britton Buenger; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Keller was preceded in death by daughter, Sheila Loreece; brother, Ronnie Haverich and sister, Doris Pease.

Carol graduated from Farber High School in 1953. She worked as the regional manager for Artex Embroidery Paint for several years before working at The Corner Store in Farber where she worked her way up to the manager position. She later retired from the Van-Far Elementary School as lunch lady.

Carol served on the Audrain Handicap Services Board and was a member of the Farber Community Betterment and Bright Futures Lunch Buddies. She was a faithful member of the Farber Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder and Treasurer.

Away from work and serving her community, Carol enjoyed cooking, with her Christmas toffee, strawberry pretzel salad and jigglers being some of her children and grandchildren's favorites. Time spent with family and friends at the 100 Acres Woods was something Carol looked forward to. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of Carol's eye. Her legacy will continue to shine within them for years to come.

Pallbearers will be Slade Keller, Nick Buenger, Blake Oliver, Russell Reading, Paul Carlson and Ralph Nelson

Memorial contributions may be made to the Farber Presbyterian Church or Children's Therapy School in Mexico, MO, in care of Waters Funeral Home.
