Carol Klimkowski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dooley Colonial Home - Westfield on May 13, 2024.
Carol Klimkowski led a rich and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication to her family and community. Born in 1949 in Bayonne, NJ, to Robert and Mary Bucina, she grew up in Westfield alongside her siblings, Bob and Joan. While attending Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, she met her husband, Ed Klimkowski, with whom they just celebrated 50 years of marriage.
They shared over a decade of adventures around the world, living in various countries, including Sweden and Switzerland, where their sons Derek and Todd were born, before settling in Fairfield, CT. Carol was deeply ingrained in the local community. Known for her selflessness and unwavering support, she devoted herself to her family, organizing and leading activities for her children's sports teams and providing a calming presence amidst the chaos of life.
Carol's talents and passions were vast, from her multilingual abilities to her love of cooking, playing the piano, knitting, and reading. Professionally, she supported multiple businesses while always prioritizing her family's needs above all else. In her later years, she found immense joy in her grandchildren, Keegan and Luke, and cherished her time living at Lake Monticello, VA, where she created joyful memories with friends & family.
Her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, symbolized the warmth and togetherness she cherished, as she opened her home to family and friends. Carol's enduring love will be carried on by her beloved husband, sons, grandchildren, siblings, and daughters-in-law, nieces and nephews, as well as the countless lives she has touched throughout her lifetime. She also had a love for her dogs: Junior, Champ, and Rocky. She loved them very much and treated them as her kids. Though she may have passed on, her spirit and influence will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
