Carol Anne Knowlton, of Millville, formerly of Connecticut, passed away on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, and has joined her Father in Heaven. She was lovingly surrounded by her family, who cherished every moment with her. Carol was the beloved daughter of the late John C. Ellery and the late Marion B. Ellery (née Korch) of Massachusetts.
Carol had worked as a caterer for Merighi's Savoy Inn for over 20 years.
Carol was known for her kindness and for being one of the most thoughtful and attentive listeners you could ever meet. She will be deeply missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Jennifer, and her dearest friend, Ilga.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures, including crocheting, traveling, casino trips, word finds, and getting lost in a good book. She was also a devoted Yankees and NY Giants fan, always ready to cheer on her teams.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard P. Knowlton, her sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Bernier, and her first husband, Robert Henderson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Jennifer, her daughter, Judith, her brother, John Ellery, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held privately by the family to celebrate Carol's life. "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. -John 14:1–3 To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Carol Anne Knowlton, please visit our Tree Store.
