Carol Lorenze Obituary
Carol Jean Cockrell Lorenze, age 74, and resident of Mobile, Alabama, was born on September 1st, 1950, and passed on April 5th, 2025. Carol was an avid reader who worked as a librarian, research historian, and author. She attended Theodore Elementary School and graduated from Rancho High School in Las Vegas. Carol continued her education at Phillips College where she earned a bachelors degree and at Barean Bible College.
Carol is preceded in death by; her mother and father; her 2 brothers; and her sister.
She is survived by; her loving husband, James Lorenze; her 3 children, Katharine Jorge, JoAnn Lorenze, and Michael Lorenze; her grandchildren, Terry Hammac, Nicole Hammac, Sarah (Jake) Hammac-Bunch, Dayten, Benjamin (Tabitha) Jorge, Soloman Jorge, and David Jorge; her great-grandchildren, Lanee Bunch, Ollie Bunch, and Isabella Jorge.
The funeral service for Carol Jean will be held on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, at 2 P.M.; at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M., at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Michael Lorenze, Terry Hammac, Benjamin Jorge, David Jorge, Angel Jorge, Briley Peal.
