Carol Lynch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center & Confluence Center on Apr. 28, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Jean Lynch on 04/26/2025 at the age of 82 after a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Carol was born on December the 12th, 1942, at St. Anthony's Hospital in the City of St. Louis in Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry F. and Vera (nee Osher) Barrett. She was the loving and dedicated wife to Michael Lynch for 44 years, a devoted mother to LeAnn Roberts and an extremely loving Nana to her granddaughter, Sophie Dawson.
Carol loved the family more than anything else. She loved to host Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers and many others. She always had a full house and she made sure everyone had enough food, fun and laughter. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She also enjoyed growing and taking care of her flowers. She was in a Bingo Club for a while and also participated in Aqua Aerobics. Another of her favorite activities was to travel, but she especially enjoyed cruises. What made these trips especially memorable was our traveling companions, Don and Marilyn, George and Grace and Bud and Margie. Carol graduated from Bayless High School in 1962, and she worked at the P. D. George Company for 46 years until she retired.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Michael; her daughter LeAnn, and granddaughter Sophie; her sisters, Sharon (Norman) Parker, Linda (Dale) Bunce and Bonnie Barrett. She is also survived by her In-laws, Andy Lynch, Michele (Ray) Phipps, Denise (Wayne) Steinbeck, Victoria (Michael) Glassbrenner and Christopher (Kim) Lynch. She was also a loving aunt (Auntie) to all of her nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be held from 12:00pm - 2:30pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025 with a 2:30pm Celebration of Life Memorial Service to immediately follow at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles, MO 63304.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations are appreciated to either of the following foundations in honor of Carol, Healthwell Foundation @ Healthwellfoundation.org or Patient Advocate Foundation @ http://www.patientadvocate.org.
Both of these organizations were instrumental in obtaining Grant Money for her expensive medicine.
