Carol MacInnes (aka Amish) died peacefully on June 4th 2025 at home. Surviving family include four children; Susan (Doug) Bibby, Linda Amish, Reed Amish and Rebecca Gordon (Laird) and longtime friend Coleridge Gill; grandchildren; Katy, Bo, Jed, Jacey, Chris (Christine), Ella, Sky, JD, David (Tonya), John (Stephanie), Megan, Steven, Alec (Jennifer), and Katelyn (Zack) and great grandchildren; Preston, Larissa, Brayden, Ella, Owen, CJ, Clancy, Finn, and Trystan.
While Carol was raising her children she also taught preschool for the Eastside Community Center for ten years. Then she went back to school (Nazareth) and got her Masters in Special Education. She taught children with special needs for the Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES until retirement.
Carol was an avid hiker, biker and skier. She was a long time member of the Wednesday Hikers/bikers. She led week long ski trips for the Rochester Nordic Ski Club for 30 years. She was Trail master securing trails for the Victor Hiking Trails for 25 years
A gathering to celebrate her long and happy life will be held August 9th 2025 at 3:00 pm at Dryer Road Park in Victor. In lieu of flowers please donate to Victor Hiking Trails, 85 E. Main Street. Victor, NY 14564
