Carol Ann Markesino

Carol Ann Markesino of Waterford, died November 22, 2025. She was 70 years old. Carol was born in Detroit on October 9, 1955 to Louis and Eleanor Garavaglia.
Carol graduated from Wayne State University with her Bachelors of Arts degree. She met Terrence Markesino and they were married in 1979. A marriage that lasted for 46 years and blessed them with two children: Jason and Carrie. Carol and Terrence moved from Detroit to Waterford in 1989 where they raised their children.
Carol worked for many years for Jacobson's Department Store, first in Grosse Pointe and then in Birmingham. There she made many friendships that she cherished. When she wasn't working, Carol enjoyed shopping and gardening. She enjoyed craft making and she was an excellent baker.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband Terrence Markesino, her loving children Jason Markesino, and Carrie (Mitchell) Stump, and her precious grandchildren Marshall and Clara. She is also survived by her dear brother Thomas Garavaglia and her many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Lois Hassan.
Visitation will be Friday, November 28, from 1-8pm at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 5391 Highland Rd., Waterford, Michigan 48327. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, November 29, at 11am at St. Perpetua Catholic Church, 134 Airport Rd., Waterford, Michigan 48327. Friends may begin visiting the church at 10:30am. Carol's wishes were that those attending her services wear colorful clothing. Burial will follow mass in All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Clarkston Robotics – Team RUSH, Lucas Lights the Way, or her family.
