Gladys Ann Wells Stebbins, 93, a nearly 40 year resident of Rochester, Michigan, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Saturday, November 22, 2025.
A beloved mother. Survived by her children, Thomas (Robin) Stebbins, Catherine (James) (Stebbins) Cupples, and Paul Stebbins. A beloved grandmother of Jason (Amber) Cupples, Thomas (Jessica) Stebbins, Meaghan Wyka, Kristin (Mike) Fletcher and David (Ashley) May. A beloved great grandmother of Abigail, Liam, Brayden, Ayla, George, Parker, Peter and Sloan.
Preceded by her parents, William and Florence Wells, her older siblings, Wm. Gordon Wells, Elsie Saffold, Marguerite Gray and John Raymond Wells, as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Born and raised in River Rouge, Michigan. Moving to Lincoln Park, Michigan where she raised her own family.
A River Rouge High School Salutatorian, she received her Bachelors degree from EMU in Education and continued her studies receiving her Masters from OU in continued Education and Learning Disabilities. After nearly 40 years, she retired in 2007.
Very active in her church community at St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Rochester. From singing in the choir, countless hours of Bible studies and loving her participation in the Prayer Shawl Ministries. Her faith was undeniably strong.
Mom, Gladys, will be missed beyond words. She was loved by all who knew her. She will always be remembered.
Rest well good and faithful servant of God.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Gladys Stebbins memory to:

* Dementia Society of America
* Leader Dogs for the Blind
* Rochester Public Library
