PITTSFIELD- Mrs. Carol J. (Chase) McFetridge, 85, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 14, 2025 after a long period of declining health.
Born in Milford, MA, Carol was the daughter of the late Arnold and Lillian (Snell) Chase. She was raised and educated in Medway, MA before moving to New Hampshire in the early 1970s.
Prior to her retirement, Carol was employed as a Nursing Assistant at the Four Seasons Rest Home in Millis, MA. After moving to New Hampshire, she worked at both the McKerley Nursing Home in Concord and the Epsom Manor.
Carol was an avid Elvis Presley fan and while she also enjoyed Dean Martin, Elvis trumped them all! Music was an integral part of her life. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and relished in seeing their many accomplishments. She was an avid fan of horror movies and also loved her cats.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, James K. McFetridge, Sr., her daughter, Crystal Dawn McFetridge, and her siblings, Ann Chase and Thomas Chase.
She is survived by her two children: "Smokey" McFetridge and Marlene Snedeker and her husband Jim. She is also survived by her countless, beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
