Carol Ann (Semprich) Michel, 86, residing in Sandusky, passed away Tuesday evening, August 19, 2025 at Stein Hospice Care Center after an unexpected illness.

Carol was born on April 14, 1939 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Anthony and Rita (Kuns) Semprich.

Carol attended Holy Angels Elementary and graduated with the Class of 1957 from St. Mary's High School. She worked at Pick-N-Pay and The House of Donuts before retiring from Toft's Dairy, where she dedicated many years in the accounts receivable department. Carol enjoyed reading, baking, and continuing to learn through adult education classes. She loved cheering on the Cleveland's sports teams, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her children whom were her pride and joy, Darren (Andrea) Michel of Castalia, Todd (Lynn) Michel of Huron, Jason (Jessica) Michel of Sandusky, and Chad Michel of Bellevue; six grandchildren, Nick, Barbara, Alexandrea, Spencer, Braden and Evan. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Freuler of California; two brothers, Paul Semprich of Sandusky and Mark Semprich of Bayview; former husband and friend, Jerry Michel; special niece, Colleen Barry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her first husband, Eddy Gochenour; son, Richard Gochenour in 2017; four sisters, Patty Nickles, Judy Byington, Kathy Semprich and Lillian Semprich.

Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to celebrate Carol's life at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.

Those wishing to contribute to Carol's memory may do so to Stein Hospice Services, 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
