Publish in a newspaper

Carol A. Muller passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 3, 2025, at the age of 83, in her home in Hazlet. Born on September 12, 1942, in Newark, Carol was the cherished daughter of the late Frederick V. and Mary (Lange) Trautvetter. Her life was a testament to the strength and compassion that she carried with her from her earliest days growing up in Irvington, to her final moments surrounded by the love of her family.
Carol's journey was marked by her unwavering commitment to her country and her community. In 1961, she proudly served in the United States Navy, stationed in Memphis, Tennessee. Her service reflected her deep sense of patriotism and her desire to contribute to a cause greater than herself. Upon returning to New Jersey in 1963, she began a new chapter in Matawan before ultimately settling in Hazlet in 1968.
It was in Hazlet that Carol's heart found its truest joy. She married the love of her life, Werner R. Muller, on May 2, 1970. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and the joy of raising their three children, Debra, John, and James.
Carol's professional life was marked by her dedication to helping others. After completing her college education, she began working at the Children's Psychiatric Center (CPC), where her compassion and empathy touched the lives of many. She continued her career at Robert Wood Hospital, where her contributions were invaluable and her presence a comfort to those she served.
Beyond her professional and familial commitments, Carol found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid gardener and live music & dancing were sources of happiness in her life. She was also a proud friend of Bill W. for 30 years.
Carol's is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 55 years, Werner R. Muller and her loving children, Debra Muller of Hazlet, John Muller and his wife Michelle of Westwood, and James Muller and his wife Sharon of Hazlet. Carol's love extended to her brother, Frederick V. Trautvetter III and his wife Lee, and shone brightly through her adored grandchildren, Elina, James, and Kara Muller, as well as her cherished nieces and nephews. She was a guiding light to her family, a steadfast friend, and a kind-hearted soul who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, November 7th, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Saturday morning, November 8th, 2025, from 9:45 to 10:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A committal service and military honors will follow at approximately 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
