Carol Myers, age 68, of New Albany, Indiana, and formerly of London, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
She leaves behind two daughters, Angela Rose Myers and Emily Myers Whobrey & husband Austin, all of Jeffersonville, IN; three siblings, Debbie Salmons & husband Ed of Oneida, KY, Flossie Smith & husband Dennis of London, KY, Loma Messer of Richmond, KY; three grandchildren, Damon Myers, Shaun Williams, Luna Whobrey; one great grandchild, Elliot Williams; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Myers; her parents, Denver & Beulah Rose Smith; her nephew, Shawn Messer; her niece, Tabitha Messer; her great nephews, Ryan & Christian Messer, Sheldon Lockaby; her great, great nephew, Colton Wombles.
Carol was retired from CTA, where she worked in Quality Control. She was a lively and caring person who enjoyed music, traveling, cheering for the Louisville Cardinals, and spending time with her family. She was a friendly and caring person who people would gravitate to, and she loved meeting new people and socializing.
Carol was of the Pentecostal faith and carried her faith with her in both word and deed throughout her life.
Her family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, Indiana, for the excellent care, kindness, and compassion shown to Carol during her time there.
A funeral service honoring Carol Myers will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Chaplain George Payocong officiating. Interment will follow at Myers Cemetery in Manchester, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
