Memorial services for Carol Nash, 77 of Lexington, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. A visitation will be held the hour before service.
Carol Braffett Nash was born on November 13, 1944 in Houston, Texas to Charles and Helen (Greschak) Braffett. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston and attended Lamar University in Beaumont in the engineering department. Carol was united in marriage to James "Jim" Nash on September 21, 1963 in Richmond, Texas. She worked many years as an engineer on NASA's shuttle projects and retired in 2008. She enjoyed shooting, fishing, and hunting. Carol and Jim also loved traveling and reading about Texas History, especially visiting old forts around Texas and the western United States.
Carol passed away the morning of Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Bryan, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Helen Braffett; husband, Jim Nash; grandson, Trey Silvers, and brother, Richard Braffett.
Carol is survived by her two children, Chris Nash of Lexington and Terri Silvers and husband Jimmie of Richwood; one grandson, Zachary Silvers of Webster; brother, Charles "Bo" Braffett Jr. and wife Judy of Pearland; and brother-in-law, Lewis Nash and wife Christina of Tomball.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa Florida, 33607, or to a charity of one's choice.
