Carol Ruth Palmer passed away on January 21, 2025 with family by her side.
Carol was born on January 24, 1951 to Charles and Beulah Clark in Cherry Point, North Carolina. When Carol was growing up, she loved to roller skate. She also coached her sons soccer teams. Carol was an avid square dancer, seamstress, outdoorsman (loved to go fishing), woodworker, painter, and was the jack of all trades. She loved to go play Bingo with her son Charles. Carol worked as an LPN at Norman Regional and Hillcrest Community Hospital from 1982 to around 2000. She loved her animals, cats and dogs. She even loved the neighborhood animals that she would feed. Carol loved her family greatly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Beulah Clark; her sister, Patty Clark; her son, Charles Bryan Palmer; and her husband, Ernest Wilce Palmer.
She is survived by her two sons, Ernest Conrad Palmer and wife Heather, Mark Edward Palmer and wife Shaunna; her brothers and sisters, Conrad Clark, Kim Bogart, Dennis Clark, and Susan Clark Blethrow; her fiancé, Robert Orman; her 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th, at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm with interment at Jones IOOF to follow. A viewing for Carol will be held Saturday, January 25th, from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home in Midwest City, OK.
