Carol Joyce Parrish, 86, of Summerfield, Florida was called home to her Lord on October 30, 2025, and reunited with her husband of 62 years, Roy Dale Parrish.

Carol was born in Anderson, Indiana, the daughter of the late Byron and Violet O'Bryant. She was a member of the second graduating class of Anderson Highland High School in 1957. She worked as a secretary while in high school and in San Diego throughout her husband's service in the U.S. Navy. From the early 1970s through 1996, Carol served with the Town of Chesterfield as a deputy to the Clerk Treasurer. She was a longtime member of Chesterfield Christian Church, teaching Sunday school and junior church from the age of 15. She loved the Lord and wanted to share Jesus with all.

In 1996 she and Dale retired to Florida. They were active members of Northside Christian Church in Fruitland Park for many years.

Carol was artistic and creative. She dabbled in watercolors, embroidered, crafted quilts, and crocheted beautifully. Many friends and family members received a special doily or a crocheted snowflake with her Christmas card. Her creativity came in handy when she served as room mom in her children's classes or as a DeMolay mom. She was a word-game enthusiast, the more difficult the challenge, the better. She collected angels, and she was one. Carol loved her children fiercely and was a dedicated and fun "mamaw" to her grandsons. Her laugh was big and infectious. She was a loving and thoughtful friend.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and Mark Parrish, her son. She is survived by her son, Monte Parrish, Summerfield, Florida, daughter Teresa Meyer (Vance), Jacksonville, Florida, grandsons, Samuel and Noah Meyer, Jacksonville, Florida, and sister, Judy O'Bryant, Anderson, Indiana. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a future date to be announced. Memorial contributions may be given to Chesterfield Christian Church, 207 E. Plum Street, Chesterfield, IN 46017.
