Carol Elizabeth Pearson, born Carol Garvey, of Penacook, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born on January 13, 1934, and lived a long life grounded in family, devotion, and love.

Carol grew up in Penacook and married her lifelong partner, Daniel Elliott Pearson, on January 20, 1951. They shared 74 years of marriage and built a life together filled with commitment, family, and resilience. In 1959, they moved to a farmstead in Canterbury, where they lived and worked for several decades. Carol wasn’t afraid to take on any job—she even helped build their home, setting some of the rafters herself.

Carol loved gardening, making doll clothes and jewelry, and exploring family history through genealogy. She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor—often funny when you least expected it. She was especially known for taking photos of her family, constantly trying to sneak in a picture when no one was looking, capturing the little moments that meant the most to her.

Throughout their later years, Carol and Dan were often seen holding hands, a sweet and simple sign of their enduring bond.

She is survived by her children: Dan and Joyce of Epsom, NH, Don and Louise of Merrimack, NH, Cheryl and Kurt Kessler of Hammond, LA and Dick and Robin of Canterbury, NH. Her memory lives on through her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Carol was predeceased by her sisters Ellen LeClaire and Norma Weast, and is lovingly remembered by her brother, Mike Roy. She was the daughter of Hazel Roy (formerly Garvey) and Raymond Garvey.

Carol’s life was full of quiet strength, creativity, humor, and deep devotion to those she loved. She will be missed deeply by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 9th, at 11:30 AM at Gibson Cemetery in Pelham, New Hampshire.
