Carol Pearson, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 19, 2025. She was born on April 14, 1951 in Madison to Robert and Dorothy (Chadwick) Thompson.

Carol enjoyed her time at the community center in DeForest playing cards and Mahjong with her friends. Every Thursday, she looked forward to her afternoon lunch date with Barbara Lafferty.

Carol is survived by her husband Wayne; stepchildren Miranda (Dave) McCuistion and Chris (Lisa) Pearson; step-grandchildren Anna McCuistion and Jake and Corbin Pearson; brothers-in-law David Pearson and Ivan (Linda) Pearson; and sister-in-law Jan Thompson; nieces Gina Kutchek, Leah Schwarz, Katie Soggerty, and Sarah Beth Hardy; and many other relatives and friends. Carol will be dearly missed by her dog Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Chuck and Jerry Thompson; and sisters-in-law Joanne Pearson and Beverly Pearson.

Friends and family will gather from 11-3:00 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Cornerstone Community Center, 505 N Main St, DeForest, WI 53532.

Wayne would like to extend a thank you to Agrace Hospice for their compassion while Carol was in their care.
