Carol Pegues Obituary
She was born December 21, 1939 in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of Robert L. and Inez DeYoung Pegues Sr.
Carol was employed with Catholic Charities Regional Agency for 12 years as the Program Director, before retiring in 2017. She was a 1957 graduate of The Rayen School.
She enjoyed traveling, sports and loved her pets.
She served honorably in the U.S. Army as a WAC from 1960-1964, receiving several honors.
She leaves to mourn two brothers, Morris Pegues of Long Beach, CA and Jeffrey Pegues of Bangkok, Thailand; one sister, Ms. Denise Welch of Youngstown and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Morton E. Pegues, Robert Pegues Jr., Winston C. "Buzzy" Pegues Sr. and Cecil Pegues and one sister, Ms. Chilita Grace.
Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Chapel.
Condolences for the family may be sent to her great-niece, Ms. Victoria Autumn Williams, 56 Wesley Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44509.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
