Pollara, Carol A. of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy passed away January 1, 2026. She was 85 years old.
Born in Quincy, she was daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Giampetruzzi) Pollara.
Carol's zest for exploring the globe saw her traverse the scenic coastlines of Portugal, Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, as well as the French and Italian Riviera, each destination etching lasting impressions on her heart and soul. Her love of travel expanded to the majestic waters of Bermuda and the vibrant islands of the Caribbean. Carol's adventures were not solely confined to international waters, as Las Vegas became her playground twice a year for over two decades.
A highlight among her leisure activities was the routine casino trips to Tiverton, joining four of her companions. This wasn't just about the allure of the games; it was a cherished ritual. They would start with breakfast, sharing in the dawn of a new day, followed by three hours of lively entertainment at the casino. To top off the adventure, they’d enjoy dinner at a favorite spot near home, relishing each other’s company into the evening.
Carol’s smile was most vivid when she was with her cherished circle of friends, whom she considered her extended family. Carol found joy in the simple pleasures of life, treasuring the bonds of lasting. Each month, Carol anticipated her outings to various local restaurants with her close-knit group of friends. These gatherings were more than just meals; they were a celebration of companionship, filled with shared stories, laughter, and the pleasures of good food. Her friends will fondly remember these moments, where Carol's kindness warmed their gatherings.
