Carol Jean (Peacock) Pyatt, 64, of Commiskey, passed away at 11:26 a.m. on January 24, 2022, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Born June 21, 1957, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Maynard and Estella Mae (Derringer) Peacock. She married Thomas Richard Pyatt on December 24, 1974, at Coffee Creek Christian Church in Paris Crossing; he survives.
Carol worked for the former Lichter Rubber in Seymour making bus seats for 24 years. She was a member of United Christian Church in Paris Crossing. Carol enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, decorating, collecting, recycling, having Sunday dinners with family, yard sales, camping, she loved dogs, spending time with her family and she was always the life of the party.
Surviving with her husband Thomas, are sons, Wayne (Sarah) Pyatt of North Vernon, Cary (Christina) Pyatt and Todd Pyatt, both of Commiskey; brothers, Ralph Peacock and Virgil Peacock, both of Commiskey; sisters, Rosie (John) Ebbing of Hayden, Violet Gudgel and Janice (Michael) Jones, both of Commiskey; sisters-in-law, Barbara Peacock and Opal Peacock; grandchildren, Travis Collett, Dustin Pyatt, Rachyl Moore, Dalton Pyatt, Ethan Stevens, Preston Stevens, Nick Pyatt, Joseph Pyatt, Braiden Pyatt, Cara Pyatt, Alyssa Brown, Brieanna Brown, Samantha Brown, Erica Brown, Rylan Burrell, Kameron Scroggin, Kaylean Scroggin, and Keagan Scroggin; twenty-two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Thomas Pyatt; brothers, Richard, Earl and Chester Peacock; sisters, Kathryn Corya and Evelyn Peacock; brothers in-law, Charles Eddie and Donnie Corya; sisters in-law, Francis Peacock, Dorcus Peacock and Sherry Peacock; and granddaughter, Diamond Pyatt.
A funeral service for Carol will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the United Christian Church in Paris Crossing with the Rev. Damon Marling officiating. Family and friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in the Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in honor of Carol through the funeral home for expenses.
