Carol Ann Rancour

MORIAH, N.Y. — Carol Ann Rancour, 47 years old, of Furnace Road, Moriah passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 5, 2009, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Oct. 6, 1961, in Huntington, Quebec, the daughter of Donald and Elizabeth (Trombley) Boyea Sr.

She worked many years at Ticonderoga Mill and BF Goodrich. Carol enjoyed cooking, knitting, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Robert M. Rancour Sr. of Moriah; her daughter, Beth Montville, and her husband, Chad of Cadyville, N.Y.; her son, Robert M. Rancour Jr., and girlfriend, Heather Aurilio of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; and her grandchildren, Brexton and Reese Montville of Cadyville, N.Y. She is also survived by her companion, Charlie McCoury of Mineville, N.Y.; her brothers, Donald Boyea Jr. and his wife, Linda of Mineville, and Peter Boyea and his fiancé, Robin of Mineville, N.Y.; her mother-in-law, Joan Derosia of Ticonderoga, N.Y.; and sister-in-law, Paula, and husband, Bill Rosenburgers of Waterveliet, N.Y.; nephews, Matthew Hall, Victor Scuderi and Brandon Boyea; and several aunts and uncles.

Carol was predeceased by her parents.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Church of All Saints in Mineville, N.Y. Burial will be in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Moriah, N.Y.
