Carol Reed Obituary
Mrs. Carol Diane Reed, age 82 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Milan General Hospital. Graveside services for Mrs. Reed will be conducted on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11AM in Sunnyside Cemetery with Stanley Grimes officiating. Interment will immediately follow.
Carol was born November 14, 1943, in Hawthorne, CA; the daughter of the late Joel C. and Lily Forsling Hughey. She was a homemaker and was of the Church of Christ faith.
Mrs. Reed is survived by two children, Robert Reed (Shawna), Kevin Reed (Tina); two sisters, Rosemary Akers, Sara Crisco; brother, Steve Hughey; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Everett Reed; parents; and three brothers, Brian Hughey, Cecil Hughey, and David Hughey.
The family will receive friends from 5PM – 8PM on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Carol Diane Reed.
