Mr. James Robert ‘Jimmy’ Jackson, age 82 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at home. Funeral services for Mr. Jackson will be conducted on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 3:30PM in the chapel of Kenton Church of God with Bro. Dennis Cleek officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Jimmy was born January 3, 1944, in Trimble, TN; the son of the late Robert Lee & Gladys Irene Butler Jackson. He worked as a carpenter, loved to fish and was a member of Kenton Church of God.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Nadine Jackson; two children, Wendy Jewell (Scott), Chad Jackson (Carla); three grandchildren, Hope Dedmon (Taylor), Grace Jones (Grant), Saige Jackson; and great-grandchildren, Evie James, Linley Tate, Grady Scott, and one great-grandson on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Neda Jo Campbell; and brothers, Tony Jackson, and Norman ‘Tooter’ Jackson.
The family will receive friends from 12:30PM until service time on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Kenton Church of God. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. James Robert ‘Jimmy’ Jackson.
