Carol Adelle Rosenquist passed away on July 2, 2024. She was born November 29, 1937, in
Minot, North Dakota. Carol moved to Libby, Montana to teach in 1958 and married John
Rosenquist the same year.
She was an elementary teacher for 42 years and continued to teach those around her every
day of her life. Carol never lost her love of learning through travel, reading, study, and
conversations. She was a world traveler, visiting many countries and always making new friends
along the way.
Carol was active at the church and called Christ Lutheran her second home. Music was a part of
every day, playing piano, attending her grandchildren's concerts and performances, or simply
dancing around to the beat. Quilting was another favorite activity, shared with special friends at
church, quilt guild, and quilt retreats. Most of all, Carol valued people, relationships and love.
She was a collector of cherished experiences with friends, family, and all those fortunate
enough to spend time with her.
She is survived by her four children, John Rosenquist Jr of Libby, Teri Nielsen of Kalispell,
Randy Rosenquist of Missoula, and Kathi Hooper of Libby; her siblings Paul Nelson, Ione
Howson, and David Nelson; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and two great great
grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Rosenquist, and brother Palmer
"Doc" Nelson.
Services will be at Christ Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18th. Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg Funeral Home of Libby, Montana. Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
