Carol Ann Saylor

Carol Ann Bloomfield Saylor, 85, passed away May 19, 2025 at her residence peacefully. She was born March 29, 1940 in Altoona, PA., to the late Clarke and Clemence Bloomfield. She attended Lexington schools and soon after move to Frankfort, KY. While raising her three sons, Carol quickly found ways to serve her community. In the years that followed she became manager of the Frankfort Book Fair, Executive Director of Frankfort's Capital Expo, and President of the Frankfort Younger Women's Club. Carols dedication to service others didn't end there.
Carol began her working career as a Consumer Advocate for Adults with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness. Her role in shaping this mission was invaluable. Carol provided administrative assistance to a new Federal initiative that would support individuals whose illnesses were most severe. During her 25 years as an advocate, she was known by all as someone who always treated others with respect and dignity. Her compassion encouraged her consumers to have the confidence to excel in life. Carol received may top honor awards for her dedication and service. Her friends and coworkers called her a true Champion of Individuals with Disabilities and one who served others relentlessly.
Carol's nature of beauty was expressed through her gardening and love of animals.
Survived by her children, David Clyde Saylor (Trish) of Pittsburg, PA., Stephen Wayne Saylor (Anna) of Lawrenceburg, KY., and a brother, John Bloomfield of Lexington, KY.
Preceded in death including her parents, a son, Michael Winston Saylor, and brothers, Phillip and Tom Bloomfield.
Carol was gifted with life long friendships. The mutual trust, support and understanding they all shared will last for Eternity.
