Carol Slinker Obituary
Carol Ann Slinker, 78, of rural Patoka, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Ascension St. Vincent Medical Center in Evansville. She was born in Posey County, IN. on March 16, 1946, to Lucian B. and H. Frances (Kern) Hyatt.
Carol graduated from Princeton High School in 1964, attended Lockyear Business College in Evansville and graduated from University of Evansville. She retired from Tyco Electronics as a Marketing Manager for Automotive in Franklin, TN, previously working for Potter and Brumfield, and Siemens. Carol attended the Gentle Shephard Church in Oatsville. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, and was an avid player of the dulcimer for the past 13 years.
Carol is survived by a son, Jason Slinker (Jamie) of Patoka; grandson, Riley Slinker (Ali) of O'Fallon, MO; sisters, Sandra Nixon of Princeton and Sue Ellen Muncy (Kenny) of Patoka; nieces, Hallie Kolb and her sons, Jill Debord (Paul); nephew, Brian Debord (Michelle) and their son and daughter; several special cousins; and a special friend, Jan Mallory.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Steve Nixon; and an infant nephew, Andrew Muncy.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held at a later date and will be announced prior to the time. The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements and is honored to serve Carol's family.
