Carol Giannotti Spinaci, 92, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Monday December 29, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 65½ years to the late Charles E. Spinaci, Sr. Carol was born in New Haven on January 11, 1933, and was the daughter of the late John and Mary Benzi Giannotti.
Carol was the owner/ operator, along with her husband, of A to Z Rentals, North Haven for many years until her retirement. She was an avid knitter for over 83 years, a big New York Yankees and UConn Women's Basketball fan, a past member of the Hamden Women's Club and was a world traveler, having visited many places with her husband, but most of all she loved her family dearly. Mother of Charles Spinaci, Jr. (Carol Amato) and Richard Spinaci. Beloved grandmother of Chad (Ashley), Crystal (William) Mezei and Craig Spinaci. Loving great-grandmother of Dominic and Anthony Mezei. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Georgianne DeMaio.
The visiting hours will be on Monday morning, January 5th, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Michael McGivney Parish at Saints Anthony's Church, 70 Washington Avenue, New Haven on Monday, January 5th at 12 noon.
