Carol Jean Stoecklin (née Pritchett) of Cincinnati died peacefully on April 1, 2024, at the age of 95. Carol was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 24,1929. In addition to St. Louis, Carol and her parents lived in Indianapolis, Indiana where she graduated from Thomas Howe High School. After high school Carol moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1950 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. While attending the University of Cincinnati Carol met fellow student Jim Stoecklin who became the love of her life and beloved husband of 66 years. Carol was a strong believer in education and encouraged her 3 daughters to obtain college degrees. She loved music and was an accomplished pianist. Carol worked for General Electric's Aircraft Engine Division in Evendale, Ohio and later was a substitute teacher in the Indian Hill school system. She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Everett and Gladys Pritchett (née Wheelhouse), her stepfather Ralph J. Strawn and her husband Jim Stoecklin. She was the loving mother of her daughters and their spouses to include Kim (Steve) Pipkin, Sandy (Terry) Donovan, and Missy (Bart Stano) Stoecklin. Carol was also a cherished grandmother to Jim Pipkin, Sally (Ryan) Diener, Kim (Eric) Smith, Michael (Lilja) Donovan, and Kate (Sam) Morgan and great grandmother to Parker, Sadie and James Smith, Elías, Sóley and Magnús Donovan, and Max and Isla Morgan. Services will be held on Saturday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Armstrong Old Chapel, Drake & Indian Hill Roads, Indian Hill, Ohio. Donations should be directed to the donor's preferred charity.
