Carol Goldense Tabor

Carol Sue was born to Louise Cunha Goldense and Anthony Correia Goldense (both deceased) at Chelsea Naval Hospital in Chelsea, MA on March 12, 1952. She was the younger sister to her brother Robert Anthony Goldense (New Jersey) and her sister Joyce Louise Tucker (deceased). When young she moved around with her Navy family until they finally settled in Milford CT where she graduated from Milford High School in 1969.

Carol moved to the Willimantic area in her twenties where she met and in 1979 married her husband Michael Thomas Tabor and became a stepmother to his 2 children Michael Jr.(deceased) and daughter Amy (Colorado). Also, in 1979 Carol became employed by the UConn Co-op Bookstore working in many different positions until her retirement as administrative assistant in 2017. Mike and Carol resided in Eastford.

Carol loved to travel and took trips for 25 years to Mike's annual National Bowling Tournaments with him and they followed UConn Women's Basketball teams to a few Final Fours. Carol also liked to garden and have dinner and wine with friends and family.

In addition to her husband Michael and (step) daughter-in-law Carrie, Carol is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, a great nephew, (step) grandchildren Mykaela Tabor-Gyhra and Zachary Tabor and a (step) great grandson Jaxon.

Per Carol's request there will be no visiting hours. She would love for all that wish, to attend a Celebration of Life to be held at the French Club on Club Street in North Windham, CT on November 22, 2025 from 12-3PM. To send an online expression of sympathy, please visit www.baconfh.com
