Carol J. Tripp, 84, of Oregon, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Carol was born on October 27, 1940 in Willow Wood, OH to Lloyd and Crystal (Leffingwell) Duncan.
Carol was a devoted homemaker who, in her younger years, found joy in baking cookies, making candy, and quilting. Above all, her greatest passion was her church. A faithful member of both Greasy Ridge Church of Christ and Echo Meadows Church of Christ, she dedicated countless hours teaching Sunday school, participating in the benevolent program, and establishing a widow's ministry. Carol answered every call to serve, giving her time and talents wherever she was needed, and her love for the Lord and her church family remained the center of her life.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pamela LaPlante and Kyle (Shane) Tripp; grandchildren, Emma and Erin Tripp; sister, Bobbie (Saeed) Kattoua; nieces, Allie Kattoua and Billie (Todd) Ransbottom; nephew, Kevin (Kristina Reinhardt-Paugh) Duncan; great-nephew, Seth (Emily) Ransbottom; and great-niece, Emily Duncan.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alton Tripp; brothers, Donnie and Bill Duncan; and nephew, Adam Kattoua.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.
Because Carol's family lives out of town and will be unable to take flowers home, they ask that memorial contributions be made instead to Northwest Ohio Christian Youth Camp (NWOCYC) or Hospice of NWO, causes close to their hearts.
