Veronica M. Barta, age 67, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully at St. Charles Hospital on Thursday, October 16, 2025. She was born on December 2, 1957, to parents Fredric D. Collier and Nancy G. Collier.
Veronica retired from Walgreens in Oregon, a place she truly enjoyed working. She loved collecting lighthouses and had a deep affection for animals. She regularly donated to animal conservation efforts and found joy in watching The Nature Channel and Animal Planet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, John F. Collier and David W. Collier, and her husband, John J. Barta, who passed away on May 3 of last year.
Veronica is survived by her sister, Nancy K. Hitchcock, her son John G. Barta (wife Crystal) and her loving cat, Gemini.
